A nearly 60-kilometer section from Bansko through Gotse Delchev to the Ilinden border crossing is being renovated by “Groma Hold”, which just a year ago built a first-class road from Simitli to Bansko. The high-quality execution of the repairs and the impeccable road surface were noticed by both experts and all tourists who visited the resort of Bansko during the winter and this summer.
Now “Groma Hold” is continuing its work on the same road, but on the section from Bansko to the border with Greece. The company is performing milling, asphalting, dismantling and installing curbs, repairing gutters, upgrading sidewalk consoles, and building a new roundabout at the first entrance to the town of Gotse Delchev. “This road has not been repaired for 10 years.
We have gathered a huge amount of equipment and human resources at the site to complete the work on time and with high quality. This is the second road to the Bulgarian border that we are working on this year. Just a month ago, we completed the section from Blagoevgrad to the Stanke Lisichkovo border crossing point. We are fully aware of the role of these roads in connecting Bulgaria with neighboring Greece and North Macedonia and in developing business and tourism in the region,” says Viktor. We are fully aware of the role these roads play in connecting Bulgaria with neighboring Greece and North Macedonia and in developing business and tourism in the region,” said Viktor Velev, manager of “Groma Hold”.
The road is expected to be fully ready by the end of October.
