The production base of “Groma Hold” in the village of Belo Pole opened its doors to students majoring in “Transport Construction” at the “Todor Kableshkov” Higher School of Transport in Sofia. The visit, organized by lecturers Assoc. Prof. Blagoyka Kadiyska and Senior Assistant Prof. Petya Stefanova, was part of the practical training of future specialists and provided an opportunity for direct contact with the real working environment.
During the meeting, the students learned about the company’s activities, its main areas of work, and some of the key infrastructure projects implemented by “Groma Hold”. The team presented the structure and organization of work, as well as the high-tech equipment and modern solutions used in road and transport construction.
During the tour, the students visited the vibro-pressed concrete elements production plant at the base in the village of Belo Pole, where they had the opportunity to observe the entire production process – from the preparation of raw materials to the automated packaging of finished products. After that, they checked out the company’s Construction Testing Lab, where the technical manager, engineer Todor Minchev, showed them how they check and analyze the quality of construction materials and mixes. The students also got to see the company’s new concrete mixing plant, which is part of the new production line.
One of the most impressive demonstrations was the preparation of asphalt test specimens and the measurement of their characteristics – a process that showed students how precision and innovation go hand in hand in the daily work of “Groma Hold”.
The visit was a valuable opportunity for future engineers to gain practical knowledge and get a feel for the real processes behind modern infrastructure construction. Such initiatives confirm “Groma Hold” as a company that is open to young professionals and committed to the development of the new generation of experts in the construction sector.
